L'appartamento Crichton del National Trust Scotland

Positive: The central location is excellent. Right on the Royal Mile within walking distance of many of the main attractions. Apartment is spacious and well-equipped with a very nice kitchen area. Negative: The very steep, spiral staircase is not to be underestimated. We were on the top floor and the climb, especially with luggage, os memorable.

Wonderful spot to stay in Edinburgh. Positive: Great location. Clean facilities. Easy communication. All in all a great choice to stay here. Negative: Takes some effort to get up the stairs. We had no issues with 2 suitcases of 24 inch each though.

Great apartment Positive: The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The place has a charm and I like it's historical significance. Location is unbeatable Negative: The stairs but that's part of it and we knew before we booked so it's nothing to complain about

Too high up to enjoy the facilities when we got there Positive: It was comfortable and clean Negative: It is on the 4th floor up a spiral stone staircase, which we knew. What we didn’t know is that the are 71 steps from the outside up to the apartment. We are fit OAPS, but this was challenging after a day walking up and down stairs in Edinburgh and as a result, we didn’t want to come back during the day to face another climb. And carrying even small suitcases up was tricky. If we had known, we probably wouldn’t have booked it! We actually checked out after four days and went to another flat. Lots of apologies from the team running it, but no offer of any recompense, not that we asked for it. More info needed on the booking details please
