L'appartement Crichton par National Trust Scotland

LOCATION, location, location! Positive: An access code was used to get in the main door and then to access the lockbox which contained the apartment keys. The instructions were easy to follow and we had no issues. The property was EXACTLY as pictured, so we had no issue. We found everything to be very clean. I really liked that the unit was at the top of the ROYAL MILE but OFF the main street tucked back in a pedestrian walking area. A video was provided several days before our arrival to help us find the unit. We had no noise issues. Also, there were two doors that could be shut between the bedroom and living room. Therefore, if one person wanted to stay up while the other slept, there were no noise issues. Based on the location alone, I feel this was a good value for what we paid. Negative: Oh the stairs. There are 72 stairs to climb in getting to the flat. They are also NOT evenly spaced (some higher or wider than others). You need to be careful! On the positive side, the stairwell is well lit, there is both a handrail on the outer wall and a rope that runs down the center poll. I only felt unsafe when I was carrying my large 50 pound bag up and then down the stairs. Just took my time! However, I knew about the stairs when I booked so there were no surprises. I absolutely would book again just for the location alone.

Great location near Edinburgh Castle. Clean and well laid out apartment. Positive: Clean, bright and nicely decorated. Great location. Negative: Bed could do with a mattress protector for added comfort.

Perfect Stay Positive: Super cute and beautifully designed apartment in the middle of the city. We loved every minute there. It was clean and cozy.

Exceptionnel ! Positive: Emplacement exceptionnel, à 1mn à pied de la cathédrale Saint-Gilles et devant le musée des écrivains. Petit appartement décoré avec beaucoup de goût, extrêmement confortable. Très pittoresque aussi, beaucoup d’authenticité. Échanges avec le gestionnaire de l’établissement très fluides. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute ! 😇🤩
