Gorgeous apartment, central location, perfect for those who have packed light. Positive: Beautiful apartment, central location, excellent amenities. On a quiet courtyard beside the Writers’ Museum. Absolutely charming and homey. Negative: If you have a lot of luggage or large luggage, be aware that the apartment is up four floors of tight spiral stone stairs and there is no floor space at entrance to leave bags at so you can bring them up one at a time. You will also need to walk with your luggage up the back stairs from Bank St, or half a block over from Deacon Brodies or St. Giles Street, as the entrance is off a square that is accessed from Lawnmarket which is pedestrian only. Don’t let these things deter you from staying here, because it is a great place, but if you are prepared for these things you will enjoy your stay more.
